Magnum S9 No TX

Hi Guys , im struggling with a magnum s9 , it had a catastrophic failure of the finals which took out the regulator and even the tx switching transistor, Now after replacing all the mosfets and biasing them up correctly i have a radio that is transmitting , but at a very low level nothing is getting to the finals ...does anyone have a schematic with voltages?

cobra 148 unlock PLL

this radio is from December 92, the board is PC 412AG. This radio is made in the Philippines. It has a lot of resistors 1/8 and 1/4. As you see in the video, the PL is unlocked. When i got the radio it has noise toy echo board and variable power double voice lock and audio mods. I'm trying to put it back as stock maybe the problem is on the voice lock which is unlocked now. I hope you can help.

I have a Northstar 440V same as a Galaxy 44V. When it heats up it goes off frequency. I mean all over the place. When I point a heat gun near D30 and D94 it starts going off frequency instantly. Like all over and stays all over. If you let the radio heat up on its own it will go off frequency in 1Hr. or a bit under.
These diodes are (D30 FC54m) and (D94 SVC251) I can not find a cross over. I know NTE makes something like this. And How would I test the 2 in the radio? Barket and e bay has the...

I have no tx or tx light on key up. Rx is fine just no wattage and no light. So far I've replaced tr45 which was burnt and split down the middle and r220 which was burnt. I also replaced the 2sc2166 driver and both 2sc1969 finals with two 2sc2312s. While i was there I replaced the 2sb754 with an 2sb817 and both regulators with the 2sa1869s. Now i still have no tx and no tx light. I'm stuck and not sure why my tx is still gone. The guy I got the radio from said his grandson locked the mic...

1.5w dk on AM swings 4-5w, SSB is 13-16 on my non-peak meter with modulation..

Clarifier is unlocked, brt/dim has uppers 27.605+, switch when down is regular CB.

Has audible tone when volume is up half way or higher (to my ears). Could be my location or audio circuit. Should have a good tech go thru unit.

new toy!

this is my new toy(Nitro 300A 5 tube) I am working with...does anywhere around
600-900(with a drake LP filter inline) 4 swinging 10 into it...I need to clean it up and fix the AM light but all works great skipping out loud and proud.
but looking for a schematic on this...

OK I have just about had it with the BS and bickering as well as some insane unsubstantiated claims made by some certain radio shops so therefore I put to the members the following question: Should we just disallow any more threads about Snake Radios and Fine Tune Radios? I picked those two because they seem to be the most debated and always end up in a pissing contest and new posters come out of the woodwork very opinionated usually for said radio shop while everyone else is against it....

What do the members think about.......

Galaxy 44v diode?

So I've got a 44v here that I'm putting back together after a hack go ahold of it.... Imagine that right? OK well on the back of the am/fm/pa rotary switch there's a diode that goes from pins 3/2 back over to pin 1 with the banded end on pins 2/3. There was only a piece left of it and a disconnected yellow wire that goes back to the echo pcb. Question I have is what is that diode supposed to be? I've looked over at cbt and it's nowhere on the parts list so I'm at a stand still on that part...

So, I would like to begin to learn how modify , align. test etc, 10,11,12 meter radios.

What tools and instruments do I need ?
I'm trolling through some threads and picked up that a Tektronix 465B scope
w/ 2 100k probes is sufficient, along with a mfj259 antenna anylizer.

any suggestions for training DVD's / Youtube videos??

What's the story on this radio? What finals and driver does it have, I can't seem to find much detailed information about these. A local guy has one and it appears he smoked the power supply. He's all wound up about getting an upgraded replacement supply for it. He bought numerous items from this Jokerman electronics. He was running this radio with a Texas Star 667 (I know damn) with the radio turned all the way down. That's a whole different discussion there let me tell you, he is convinced...
