Cabra 148GTL Malaysia USB alignment issue

Good Day Men,
I have a 148 from Malaysia (1992) on the bench for aligment. I have removed the glue and I will say, this one had more corrosion than I am used to. I had to replace a few resistors, caps and 1 diode becasue they were so corroded. The radio was way off frequency when I started. Going through the PLL alignment AM and LSB are aligning fine. USB has an issue though. When aligning L59 for 34.7665 the best I can get is 34.766410 with L59 bottomed out. L22 and 23 are about...

TecsunPL-680 problem. Not working on Am. FM only.

Very strange. Fairly new radio. Fresh batteries.

Set to AM (medium and shortwave). Ensured no USB.
No stations. Just noise.
FM works perfectly.
Grateful for any ideas please.

Hello Fellow CBers!

After all these years, I wish I took the time to actually hear my audio on the other end to be sure I was even happy with it. As of recent, I learned that my SSB audio just sounds overall bad on the RM Italy 203P. Best described as crunchy on the peaks. Which set me to try and do something about it.

RM-3 MOSFET TRANSISTOR

What do these RM-3 Mos transistors actually put out? I see these being used in different smaller amplifiers and was wondering how much power AM and SSB they will produce and what the drive is they will take??

I see these little RM Italy amplifiers run these and I often wonder if their worth buying them as people do. Will they produce 50 watts even?? Or are they more like a 30 watt transistor?? That would be funny considering a dual final radio will do 30 watts.

Lost a really good friend and radio operator 2 weeks ago on Sunday evening , Mike D. out of Anaheim , Orange County Ca. . What brand of screwdriver antenna is this

I was recently given a screwdriver antenna by a non ham. Can anyone give me an idea as to what brand or model screwdriver this is? Also, can you explain what is missing from its base? I'm assuming that it is the matching coil and tap points but am to new to the hobby don't completely understand myself. MURS interference

Anyone else experience interference like this on the murs channels? This has been going on around here for years now. Used to be the channels were quiet and now this goes on for hours every day and night. At my house I pick this up on channels 1-3. I tried dialing up and down with the vfo on my radio and its only on the channels. Its not bleed over from something else.

Quick and Dirty Class "AB" mod for KL300p

This is a "quick and dirty" class AB mod for the KL300p that I ran across some time ago. While this description is for the KL300p, this method of providing a small bias source can be applied to just about any class C amp. Basically any amp that grounds the bases of the transistors via an inductor is class C. In this case, the inductor is part of the input transformer.

Hello everyone, I follow this forum a lot but I have never written, but this time I signed up because I see this very interesting for those who have an ameritro RSC-8 or 10 antenna counter.

This collection should be legible enough to use. A diagram for a Maco product is just a list of suggestions. The one with the hand-scribbled notes has specifics from units we saw here.

Hello
I guess I am a all new 71 yr old.
Anyway, my family gifted me a Tecsun s2200x for my birthday.
Years back, I used to have an old Radio Shack brand SW reciever and a Grundig Yachtboy 400.
Ive read the Tecsen manual, and also got a couple of Tecsen antennas with the radio. A An-48x and An 200.
Been playing around with both with limited success probably due to inexperience. It has been fun.
I could probably do well with an outdoor antenna. I live in the country in a 100 yr old farm house...

Just looking at the SAMS CB Photofacts and I see that the Cobra 21 and 25 are in the same volume.

So if the same SAMS copy covers both radios.... how do you know what the differences are? Surely a 21 is not identical to a 25 or everybody would have saved money and gotten a 21. I did see that, in the area of the channel switch there was an annotation that the 21 and 25 used different channel switch boards. There HAVE to be other differences!!!!??? At least I would think so.
