Thinking about one of these, for my ic 7300. I've read reviews, and there mostly about the important stuff like audio, receive, fit, construction etc. I've never used a headset for comms.
If you use a headset, do you use the supplied PTT button, or do you like a foot switch, or hand trigger?
I think the foot switch is out for me. I like to sit back a bit and I think a foot switch would be hard to operate for me. Thanks for any info and experience. I'm pretty sure it's a Pro 7 for me.

Connex 3400 questions

First question....What purpose does the watch battery have? Is band memory it’s only purpose or does it have something to do with the faceplate lights? Mine aren’t changing all of the colors just a few and would like to get them working again.

Second Question.... in the very back corner is a 473 ceramic capacitor that sits in c204 right next to VR11. What purpose does it serve? Mine looks either snipped or broken. Wondering if I can leave it that way or need to have it fixed

whats the typical dead key and swing input and output for a D&A raider amp ? it has 4 6LQ6 tubes .
D&A MANUFACTURING (SCOTTSBLUFF NEBRASCA)
i had a tube amp about 30 years ago but i forget ow to do the tune plate and voltage grid stuff for the band im on . anyone care to remind me or link to instructions how to do that ?

This may be a bit long and drawn out. Sorry for that but I will also be posting some photos of my project. I am new to the hobby. I am pretty excited about building my first station as I am sure many have been, are, and will be in the future. This is for those now and in the future who may run across the kind of problem I had with my used antenna. Some day some guy, like me, who is putting in his vertical will have a lot of questions. I am posting this in hopes of helping out with that...

I am going to try this thing out I know that theres no input tuning so radios tuner will have to be used when changing bands. There was supposed to be SD1074 RF Transistors but mine has 4 X 2SC2290 thats the way I got it.

Anyways I see that its 3-4 watts input for AM / FM but what should run for input on SSB?? Im guessing no more than 20 watts?? I remember a guy telling me on 80 meters oneday when we got into talking about these true Palomars amplifiers that I should...

Well fellas, I'm wanting a replacement mic for my anytone rigs or at least my base because I don't much care about for the stock mics. The SL41 is an electret so I believe it'll mate nicely with the anytone but problem is they're all sold out and when it had some in my possession I didn't do they wise thing to keep one.. Anyone have a good condition sl41 they'd like part with? Or know who might possibly stock one?

I usually would ignor a hand held but i find i kinda need 1.
On the farm we got 6 trucks,i never drive same truck.be time consuming to change radio daily even hourly. I made an offer on 1 new in box on ebay and its mine. Some places where i load and unl0ad i need a cb to get orders or give orders.
I looked at some other brands and they all looked alike,j.c.pennys,sears 4 others cant remember all the brands.controls in same places same antenna might need a change on that make a connector change.
