Amateur Radio Operators are popularly known as the Hams. What is the history of this word? It dates back to 1908 when the word ‘Ham’ used to be a station CALL of the wireless station initiated and operated by the hobbyists from the Harvard Radio Club. These hobbyists included ALBERT S. HYMAN, BOB ALMY and POOGIE MURRAY.
