I tried that the wife's vacuum about a month ago.It would not start even with full long length pulls of that starter cord.
So I took it outside added some fresh gas to the intake just to prime it. No more than a pint I'm sure.
I cranked and pulled a bunch of times and no start. Then I remembered it was also electric start!
